Large gatherings, protests and violence have occurred in this area in recent weeks, resulting in injuries and several deaths. Similar gatherings and protests may occur with little or no warning, and may turn violent. Avoid all protests, demonstrations and political rallies. Tensions are particularly heightened before and after Friday prayers. Anticipate heightened security in the area and be vigilant about your safety. Monitor the media for developments which may affect your safety and security. Follow instructions from local authorities. The level of our advice has not changed. Exercise a high degree of caution in Israel overall. Be aware that higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
