The Chemist Association of New Caledonia has advised local authorities that a general strike will be observed by all chemists from 14 August to 3 September. During this period one ‘duty chemist’ will remain open for each of Grande Terre’s four regions. A list of duty chemists will be displayed at chemist premises. Chemists on the Isle of Pines and Loyalty Islands will follow reduced hours, with the local dispensary to provide assistance outside these hours (See Health).
