Possible targets include commercial and public places frequented by foreigners, such as transport hubs, the metro system, hotels, shopping malls and tourist areas. Exercise heightened caution and be vigilant about your surroundings. Monitor the media for developments that may affect your safety and security. The level of this advice has not changed. Exercise a high degree of caution in the Philippines overall. Higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
