Serious assaults, including sexual assault, occur in Solomon Islands. Foreigners have been attacked at knifepoint, including at popular tourist attractions such as Mbonege Beach. Female travellers need to be particularly alert at all times. Avoid being alone in areas without security officers, or in remote public places. The level of this advice has not changed.
